It is best to visit the market between 8:00 - 12:00 in the morning and between 4:00 - 6:00 in the afternoon. You may have to learn simple Chinese terms as well in order to buy items from the market. Fish usually has the word "Yu" in it. Eels are popular as a Chinese dish. There will also be frog, turtle, squid, shrimps and prawns, crabs, lobsters and mussels. If you are too late, you will find only left over items at the stalls.
